We had a few chores to do around town before we leave again tomorrow. Rowan hates being in marinas and busy towns, I really quite enjoy picking up the buzz of the place. We are so impressed with the local buses, they took us everywhere. We visited the chandlery, miles one end of town. I was very happy to get a spare boat hook pole. Then we found a French deli that supposedly sold good meat, we did get a few bits and pieces, but not much better than the big Numba 2 Bon Marche. We discovered the queue at the money exchange was short so we went and got some Solomon Island dollars, which we had failed to get in NZ. So that was a very successful swap for our NZ currency, which we no longer need. That took up the majority of the day! Fun chatting to the locals, all women and kids on the many bus journeys.
We had drinks on Alia Vita at 5pm with Ian and Laura from Rala. It poured down with rain and as we looked across to PolePole we saw we had left a hatch open! Luckily it is mainly over the kitchen sink. We then went out for dinner at a restaurant that was recommended called LaLaLa. Jane and Mike joined us, for their last evening of their holiday. Rob and Frances joined us too, we sat outside initially, when the drizzle arrived the big umbrella went up, when the downpour arrived we had to move indoors! We all had a very good, tasty meal ….. a good French chef! It was a very jolly evening. We said our final farewell to Jane and Mike and wonder when we will see them next.

Getting soaked in the downpours

Rowan found another sign……. please thinking good before you pay for something, From Mifala ie No making refunds!, Thank you

I saw a funny spot on Apple maps and zoomed right in, a weird flash of something and you can see the shadow of a plane above it ……. I wonder what the satellite caught here!
