The wind has swung to the South East and is blowing enough to make the water quite choppy, certainly feels a bit cooler than the intense heat of the previous few days. This did not make ideal snorkelling conditions but gave us a good excuse to sit down and nail some admin that seriously needed doing. There is always stuff to catch up on back home, coordinating roofers to repair roof damage, scaffolding for the exterior painters, locksmiths for our new insurance requirements, our new caretaker who has taken over from Gordon has a lot to catch up on too! Rowan has all his boat stuff to get sorted, getting all repairs and warranties sorted for our time in Papeete, Tahiti, when PolePole will be hauled out the water.
We finally decided late afternoon we needed to get off the boat and have a walk. We really only had about half an hour walking by the time we got to land as it is pitch dark by 6pm, and navigating around coral in the dark is not worth it!
Isobel, recommended we watch Slow Horses, which was a really good call, we managed to watch a couple of episodes, now we are hooked!

Late afternoon walk on the coral beach

Looking out over the pass we came through, looking much calmer than when we came through

Just love these big red hermit crabs

Light is fading
