Wednesday 25 February – more rain!

We woke up to rain which made us reconsider our plans. We have to be in LBJ tomorrow night, as we need to stock up with food and sort out a few boat things before our next guests arrive Saturday morning. The Crickmore’s makers of the famous Bungay brie are visiting us on their way home from Australia. Last time they visited was in the Caribbean, Dulcie failed her PCR test, or did not get the result in time so could not go to Grenada where we planned to pick them up. What a memory those PCR test days are! We had planned to have a night halfway back to LBJ but as the weather looks so miserable and we have such a lovely spot here we have decided to stay put. We did not even get off the boat today, we had considered going to another beach for a walk, but when we read on the NFL App that a couple from a yacht last month went to the beach in their dinghy, they got to the beach and a Komodo dragon came rushing towards them, they shouted but it continued coming for them. They think the dragons there are being fed! Certainly don’t want to walk there so we stayed on the boat and got loads of admin sorted out. The evening was very misty, we heard the water buffalo calling, but have not managed to see them. They are the favourite food of the dragons. We did not see the deer tonight but that could be because there were a few fishermen about in long boats.

Cloud hung on the mountains all day

All the rain has produced loads of waterfalls, we counted at least five

The cloud never lifted all day

This is a screenshot from the NFL App from last month

Their photo of the dragon coming after them, look at the size of it and it’s tongue, a tragedy about all the litter behind it!
