The morning started with a great success – Rowan lost the nozzle on his brand new Roygbi pressure washer when we anchored here at Moorea. I dropped a pin on google maps and he had a look for it yesterday without success. He used his new scuba tank that Kane had filled as he has a compressor on his boat. Today was a brilliant sunny day and much better visibility, plus Rowan had his weight belt on which stopped him bobbing up. He went out with Kane to the dropped pin, we have swung around 180 degrees since we arrived, so quite far from PolePole. He dropped the dinghy anchor on the pin, dived overboard and the nozzle was about 5 feet from the anchor. What a success! Kane finished cleaning PolePole’s bottom, Rowan had work calls and I did a couple of enormous loads of washing, with Quinn enjoying being on the front of the boat hanging out the washing.
After lunch Rowan got our new two man kayak inflated, if was one of the enormous 9 bags we brought from the UK. It inflates until the sides are rock hard which is incredible. Rowan managed to let it go without a leash on it and had to go swimming after it. he changed into dry clothes and got in for a trial paddle and immediately capsized! Third time lucky, I joined him and we had a very good kayak through the anchorage. Just need to perfect our synchronising but getting better all the time. We are very pleased with it. Now we just need to work out how to secure it onto the boat while we are island hopping.

Precarious manoeuvres to get into the new kayak!

Plans change again and we now plan to leave tomorrow late afternoon for Huahine. The winds have picked up a bit. We had a glorious sunset tonight the best we have had since being back. A rib eye steak on the BBQ, meant a very happy evening all round.
