Tuesday 16 December – another good snorkel

We snorkelled from the boat towing the dinghy as we planned to go into the next bay, we went a long way, gently with the current. The visibility came and went, as did the temperature of the water. Amazing how hot the water is, the cool patches are really welcome. Rowan found a big piece of coral covered in different anemones, all with their own little clown fish. We explored a little further in the dinghy, returning to the boat for a late lunch snack and a read. When it cooled down a bit, Rowan had great success doing some DIY, drilling holes through metal, putting Stinky (the satellite) on it’s special stand, which is at a slight slant so the rain can run off and not interfere with the connection. He also managed to get the spare water pump working, by replacing the gauge.

Sunset drinks with Phoebs on the trampoline, wonderful to have so much time to catch up with her. Great news is that Dani has made a breakthrough with an investor, but means he has had to delay his flight out. He arrives on Sunday around the same time as Luke and Milly.
