We woke up to a gloriously bright sunny day, the water was an incredible colour and the water as flat as a pancake. This meant an excellent day for much needed running of the washing machine. Rowan got the kayak inflated and we went for a magical canoe around the bay at very low tide around midday. Such interesting volcanic stone formations, with so many waterways , it was like a maze.
In the evening we went to Alia Vita for an early supper of lamb shanks that were delicious. We were all pretty tired so we were back and ready for bed by 8:30!

Waking up to amazing colour water

Looking out the pass

Mushroom rocks everywhere

The water got so shallow, we got out and had a wander around.

Dramatic waterways

Little red crabs everywhere

We found a step ladder up against the lava to get into the woods. At high tide the beach is completely covered with water

We found another gorgeous cool beach, and had a little relax in the shade from the undercut lava.

Glorious sunset from Alia Vita
