The passage took us much longer than we expected as we lost the wind wiggling through the islands. We got in around 9am, the last of the 5 boats in our group, as we left a lot later than everyone else. We were surprised to find 5 catamarans here already. Turned out to be 5 Australian boats cruising together and they all left about an hour after we arrived which was great for us. The beach shelves steeply and very quickly gets deep, so slightly tricky anchoring. It rained on and off all day with some spectacular rainbows.
We managed to have a little rest before everyone arrived at 5pm to celebrate Rowan and Jeff’s birthdays. I made home made burger patties to go with the focaccia bread. Laura brought a delicious bean salad, Frances brought veggie skewers ,Francoise did nibbles, and Nancy brought her promised carrot cake for Jeff. We cleared away 6 bottles of wine, so we must have had a good evening. All very jolly, and a cake Bake Off at the end, I had made Rowan a chocolate cake. Everyone was very diplomatic …….Nancy and I tied! Luckily it wasn’t a late session as we were all tired from our overnight passage.

Arriving in the rain, and finding 5 other boats already there, thankfully they all left soon after we arrived

Plenty of rain about

The beach in front of us

Wonderful rainbows

My present to Rowan, I made a snood for him to wear while snorkelling so he doesn’t burn his head, a tie dye special!

Rowan and Jeff the birthday boys

The cake bake off!

Laura, Iain, Rowan, Nancy (American solo sailor turning 70 next year), Jeff (Nancy’s crew). Alia Vita and Jiyu joined us minutes later but missed the sunset!
