We were one of the last Arc boats to leave San Cristobal, most have made the crossing at night. Rowan was up around 4am and we left soon afterwards. No wind to start but after a couple of hours it picked up a little and Rowan got the Parasail (Ginger) up. We had a wonderful sail the rest of the way with lovely gentle winds making a very comfortable sail. The sea was really weird in places with the current flowing at 2 knots and making real ripples in the calm waters. We had dolphins swimming in the bow wave for ages, amazing how they love it so much.

We finally saw the small volcano islands surrounding Isabella, we had such a good sail against all wind predictions, so we were very pleased. We managed to get a good anchor around 4pm, which was rather a relief as the Arc fleet was crowding out the small anchorage. We were pretty pooped from not doing a whole lot and decided to eat on board. Widge and Edmund were coming in on the ferry from Santa Cruz with Janey and Jonny around 5pm and we hoped they would join us on board for supper, but they had rather a bumpy journey and were too tired. They are booked into a few tours over the next few days and we hope to book some too as the tours are all booked up with the Carnival period lasting until Wednesday. Hannah has been in touch with a highly recommended Claudia from the Pink Iguana Bar, to get some bookings. Its great having Han on board organising things as her Spanish is so good. Bizarrely after speaking to Claudia Han thinks she is a man! But happily she can get us onto a few tours.

This blip under the sea we thought was 37 feet under water, turns out it was 37 feet above water!
