Sunday 15 February – beach day

First thing in the morning we spotted two identical logs on the beach and thought that was a bit odd. We then discovered it was two dragons sunning themselves, in identical positions. The rest of the day was having fun in the water and the beach with the kids. We finally had a bit of breeze that was able to lift the kite I bought them from NZ. We inflated the paddle board which Lovat and Monique enjoyed paddling around on. We did a little bit of snorkelling, but it was rather short-lived as there were jelly fish about. Poor David got a big sting.

In the evening Sea Angel had invited us for drinks, we decided it was easier to go to the beach and have a fire. Everyone got involved collecting wood, Lovat managed to get the fire going beautifully. Two scorpions tried to escape from the wood pile which was rather exciting. The kids enjoyed the beach while we sat back and enjoyed the beach in shade from the mountain. It is so hot, I’ve started getting a heat rash and poor David has too.
