We were up and 5:45am and out to sea by 6am. We had another passing of Diamond Rock which is feeling very familiar these days.

We were in the marina by 8:30 and Rowan aced another reversing into the tightest spot imaginable. The gap is so narrow you have to push the other boats aside to ease in and then roll each boats fenders over the top of ours as there is only one fender gap between us on either side. The stuff of nightmare’s in the old charter sailing days!

Our tight squeeze!

There was a flurry of activity for a while with the repair man, refrigerator man and Solar guy etc etc. We have decided to remain on the boat this week to keep an eye on the work, as we now have a pretty tight time table to get to Grenada.
Steamy work doing all the laundry. Making the bed afterwards, I find the hardest thing to do, so difficult getting it made without wrinkles, all while dripping with sweat!
In the evening we headed over to Jan and Greg, who were also in the marina getting repairs done, a new washing machine fitted and their generator serviced. I was able to make my hummus for a starter, now that we are back on shore power and have resolved our inverter problem. Jan made the most delicious bouillabaisse. She loves to cook and is in the process of writing a cookery book for sailors at sea. Really scrummy with loads of seafood in it, sadly all from the supermarket as the fish markets all seem closed. Greg had made passion fruit Rum cocktails which were delicious, and set the pace for the evening. We played a good number of Shithead rounds, desperate that Greg should be awarded the hat, but sadly to no avail! We staggered home rather late through a ghostly city of empty boats!

Greg and Jan, drinking Prickly Pear forfeits when you are awarded the hat.
