A very early start for us around 4:30am as we wanted the Crickmores to be on time for their 6am ferry. Quite a load in the dinghy with all of them and their luggage, Arthur was very concerned it was overloaded, even without me in it! We have so enjoyed having kids on board.
We hadn’t managed to check out at customs yesterday, so captain Rowan had to go in at 8am. Sadly the officials were on island time and it was closer to 9 before anyone was there to sign us out the country. Finally we set off just after 9:30am. The winds were pretty good initially as we zoomed past all the Grenadine islands. Then the wind dropped, rainbows and dark clouds surrounded us.

Rainbows and rain over St Vincent
Rowan booked us into Rock Side Cafe on St Vincent mainland. Emma and Dietma who we met in Rodney Bay had recommended it. We switched off our AIS and snuck into the tiny dramatic bay, crossing fingers nobody official would spot us. Their boat man got us onto two buoys, bow and stern. We were all tied up by about 5pm which gave us time to enjoy the sun setting, giving all the local boatmen time to sell us home made jewellery, coconut bread and some fresh tuna.

We headed up early to the little cafe which seemed to be owned by an elderly German lady and a local couple. We had a delicious but strong rum punch watching the last of the sunset disappearing. We had a good supper, also fresh tuna, they call it red line tuna. I think it is a smaller variety. We were the only guests and it was rather magical sitting up there looking down at PolePole with her twinkling lights. Early to bed for another early night.
