Saturday 25 February – a motor all the way to Santa Cruz

We left at about 7am and had a very gentle motor over to Santa Cruz, the sea was very calm so it was an easy 41 mile crossing, getting in just after lunch. As we were the last boat in it was a bit of a squash but we finally got in to a little area and felt pretty secure.

We headed into town to do a bit of exploring and work out the lie of the land. Nevil our new crew member from Switzerland arrived, poor chap was exhausted from 30 hours of travelling. We had put him up in an Airbnb as we still have Phoebe and Dani on board.

It was Phoebe’s last night. Dani has one more night with us and plans to do a dive with Hannah tomorrow. It was also the Boy’s drinks night with the Arc fleet, which was a good catch up for Rowan. Han found us a good restaurant for our last dinner with Phoebs called Agave. We all had delicious ceviche and fish croquettes, all cooked by a very young passionate chef, it was a great meal.
