Phoebe and I went for a good paddle in the kayak, while Rowan led the way on the Stand Up Paddle Board. We wiggled our way through the islands, out to some more open water for about an hour, before breakfast, before the heat picked up! We went into the resort to do some last minute Christmas present buying at the Resort Gift Shop. We had thought we might walk up to the look out platform at the top of one of the crazy rocky outcrops but it was way too hot, we had done enough exercise for the day! Back at Polepole we dropped our lines and headed off around midday.
It was about 12 miles to our next destination, a wiggle through some reefs that took some alert navigation. Rowan had found an anchorage about 5 miles from the mooring ball we have booked from tomorrow. We asked if we could go today but they responded to say we could not because they are doing maintenance on the mooring ball. This was rather alarming as she said we could only get the ball from 11am, Luke, Milly and Dani land at 6:30am and should be with us around 10am. The boat that is bringing them is meeting us at the Kri mooring ball.
Of course we had to motor the whole way as the wind was no existant. We managed to get into the anchorage in this deep bay, it is full of reefs with loads of bommies, but thankfully it was as calm as anything and we got in no problem. On the way over I was very busy making bread, I also used up all our bananas that were going black to make an almond banana bread that is gluten free so that Milly could eat it too. Rowan and Phoebs went for a late snorkel and reported back that the coral was very disappointing, which is sad. It was a very peaceful night with not a soul about.
