Rowan’s turn to go solo shopping

It was a stifling hot night, so not the best sleep, we had to drag ourselves out for our morning walk, but so glad we did.

I decided to do a bit of long overdue housework, hoovering and cleaning. The white floor of the cockpit gets very grubby easily.

It was Rowan’s turn to do the supermarket run this week, which also meant filling up one of our propane gas tanks. Peter the German went before us and he waited in the queue for one and a half hours to get in, the supermarket closes at midday tomorrow for the Easter week end, which we had forgotten all about. Not sure that facing a queue in this heat at the supermarket was an ideal hangover cure for Rowan, but luckily the queue had died down by the time he went and only waited half an hour. He also went to the pharmacy to stock up on hand sanitiser and was impressed to find he was the only one in the shop and plenty of stock of it. I was very happy that Rowan came back with a tray of delicious IPA’s from a local brewery, called ‘Down-Da-Road’. I really find I can’t drink wine these days, so ice cold G&T’s or an IPA are my evening tipple after our swim and cold shower. Rowan has to manfully try out all the delicious Naked wines that were shipped to Fort Lauderdale from the Napa office.

We were very grateful for our afternoon swim, I don’t know what we would do without it. Lots of chat and debate about what happens next when our lockdown ends on Tuesday. We should know the verdict by the end of the week.

The moon has been amazing.
