Please help me out!

Not great for the solar panels but loving the cooler weather! In fact we are amazed at how much the panels have generated in the light cloud and sunny bursts between the rain. All this free energy…. now Rowan wants to collect the rain water and get it into our tanks. It’s amazing how quickly our buckets fill up collecting the rain off the roof.

A good day for reading, I finished Black Diamonds which was a fascinating read, it certainly gave me a better insight into the unions, the incredible wealth of the coal mining industry and then its collapse. I’ve started my book club book – BearTown a Swedish thriller.

We got lots of lovely messages for Rowan’s birthday. In fact two melodious warblings from members of his hiking gang were so spectacular that I have to share them with you. I’ve been given the impossible job of deciding which one gets the Jenny gong for the best Norfolk’s got Talent, Mature Category! Please help me out by giving me feed back.

Neil’s rendition, please don’t hold it against him that he is in the car – of course he is not driving!

David our choir boy!

PLEASE SEND ME YOUR RANKINGS….. there is a lot of male ego at stake here!

Big news – we have bitten the bullet and chartered a plane to Martinique on 1 July. It is a 6 seater, so Rowan has posted on the Cruisers forum that we have 4 spare seats for sale and hope that someone buys them. We booked our Air France tickets to Paris that evening and then onto Heathrow, getting there on 2 July. These Air France flights have been running to Martinique throughout lockdown, so we are pretty confident they will be fine. As Martinique is part of France they obviously had to keep flights going, and we go through immigration in Martinique which will be so much better that having to do it in Paris.

All coming together now and Rowan has just pointed out we are half way through our quarantine tomorrow.

Monkey’s wedding – for all you non S Africans, that is when it’s raining and the sun is out!
