Polepole the smallest boat in Nonsuch Bay

Rain and sun alternated all day long which was not the best way to greet the kids on board but at least it was cool and relaxing. A great wash down for Polepole after all the salt spray from yesterday’s bashing into the waves. Rowan went to a different spot snorkelling and saw more fish but mainly dead coral. It was too choppy and cloudy for the rest of us to be persuaded in.

Phoebe enjoying my granny hat I get such flack for!

A few hardy kite surfers were out. One surfer was followed by an entourage of staff, his instructor on a fancy jet ski who was in touch with him via a walkie-talkie in his hat, and then a big tender rescue boat. He must be on one of the enormous Gin Palaces. Rowan and Luke have identified the enormous one belonging to a Russian Oligarch living in the US …….$220 million boat with a huge secondary boat that is just for the helicopter. We are feeling very small!

There is a kite surfing school on the little beach near us and the kids and Rowan have signed up for a class tomorrow.

Luke made us the scrummiest chorizo burgers with sweet potato chips for supper.
