We woke up to the sea being like a mill pond. Our stillest night of the entire journey so far, it made for a very good night’s sleep. Is it the calm before the storm?

We had a very great sail north with good winds in the right direction, not too strong but enough for us to get to our destination in good time.

The marina is in a very protected man made cove, it was a bit of a nightmare trying to find our berth, as we struggled to understand ‘de Bahamian aksent o’er da radio maan’. But we made it in the end, always a bit daunting with an audience of salty sea dog yachty’s! So many retired Canadians. We have a young American family next door to us who are homeschooling their kids.
We had a wonderful swim and then a long walk along the most gorgeous white powder sand beach. So good to stretch our legs. Threatening skies looked like the storm was arriving late evening but seems we only got the tail end, as it wan’t too bad by the time we went to bed.
