The forecast was for the wind to pick up, so we decided to go a couple of miles around the coast to hide behind Frigate Island. We passed it on our walk yesterday. It was a very grey day with loads of bands of rain passing through every couple of hours. The island is looking very dry so I am sure they are relieved to get a drenching. The dry season starts in February, so this rain is the last for a while. Obviously all the yachties have moved away from the Cays and seeking shelter, there were 5 boats when we arrived, and there are now 18 boats. Loads of youngsters on Dutch boats, I think they are all kite surfers as this is a very popular spot for it. Most of the boats we saw in Clifton have moved here, including a bigger Nautitech Cat than us, which has a quadriplegic girl on board. They have an amazing winch to get her on and off the dinghy in her wheel chair. She is the first quadriplegic to cross the Atlantic sailing the whole route by suck and puff controls. She obviously has crew (looks like her family) who do the physical requirements. Quite amazing.
We had a busy day doing chores, catching up with friends and having a bit of a well needed tidy up.

Union Island is very special, the unique skyline and gorgeous blue water.

The town of Ashton, the building on the water front is the school playing fields. What a view from the classroom!

Bands of heavy grey skies for a lot of the day
