Monday 22 December – loads of snorkelling

In the morning we headed to the tip of Kri where the little island is, a top dive spot, we have snorkelled here a couple of times and it is very good. We got in and the current was so strong it was screaming around the island, we had to jump back in the dinghy and headed further from the main flow. We snorkelled nearly all the way back to PolePole. Everyone is having a great time snorkelling, turns out Milly is a good spotter, we saw plenty of interesting things that made it a very good snorkel.

Back to PolePole for lunch and a relax before heading out again, this time going in the other direction around the island to the little village Yenbuba village and their lovely jetty with the giant clams. It was a spectacular long snorkel which impressed everyone. When we finally got out a squall had whipped up and the water was choppy, making it a very wet trip home with 6 in the dinghy. So much water was splashing in that we were seriously bailing the water out. We could not get up on the plane so it was a slow journey back.

We are having a lot of fun all cooking meals together. The jet lag is clearing but still early to bed for everyone.
