It’s so idyllic we are staying another night

We had such a comfortable night, the anchor was rock solid and we had plenty of space around us, so we decided to stay another night and get a few things straightened out. One of the things we brought back with us was a drogue, something like a parachute you drop into the water to slow you down! I don’t think we will use it imminently, it’s for long passages. But it weighs a ton and takes up space and all these things have to find a space on the boat to live. So we had some sorting and clearing to get done.

Rowan did a drift snorkel with Jeldi Jeldi along the reef, which he said was very disappointing, most of the coral is dead. The only happy thing is seeing all the turtles bobbing about. We have also enjoyed seeing hundreds of little fish all jumping out of the water at the same time, creating great flashes of silver as they reflect the sunshine. We wonder who is chasing them.

Our peace was somewhat broken in the afternoon when three American Cats arrived all with kids. The noise level increased dramatically but fun to see the kids having such a good time. Our Rasta kitchen looked pretty busy so we stayed on board, glad to have had a relaxing day.

It looked like we were going to get a dramatic storm but it seemed to skirt around us and just produced some amazing clouds.
