International Woman’s day the only exciting thing today

It was a day of ropes going up and down, and endless people on the boat. We had a very sweet guy doing the engine service, showing Rowan the impellers to prove they had no wear and tear. Rowan decided to give him his redundant pair of all weather trousers that we had bought in France. When Rowan handed them over, all he said was ‘that is ok I can take them’, not a fulsome thank you! I’m sure he was just awkward as he looked delighted! It paid off as he gave Rowan some spares that are part of the service, and not a necessary handover. He also managed to find Rowan the right colour coolant for the engines, who knew you couldn’t mix red and green coolants!

Otherwise Hannah’s poster picture for International Woman’s day was the highlight of the day. Thanks to our friend Stella who forwarded it onto us. She found it on instagram but I can’t find it there!

We are recovering from a lot of eating out, so it was a second night of salads on board. We have found the waitress at the marina restaurant who served us our first night here, is an excellent supplier of fresh lettuce and tasty rocket, that her mum grows locally. A very lucky find.
Late night message from Phoebs saying she had already raised £3500 for Ukraine and they hadn’t officially started the sale yet!
