All the predictions are for a stormy weather window and a big wind blowing. It might be ok where we are but when you see gusts of up to 50 knots and Chris Parker the weather guru saying this is going to be the big storm of the season, we are giving it huge respect!
We decided to move to the other side of the bay into a little sheltered bay on Long Island, very nicely protected from the winds.

We abandoned our morning snorkel as we thought we better get into the bay before it got crowded as it is really small. We got there by midday and luckily there was only one other Cat. The guide book said it is the celebrities island and you cannot go on land as security is tighter than a ‘cramped sphincter’, which is a bit disappointing. The wind was picking up but not too serious and when we realised we might be stuck here for 3 or 4 nights Rowan decided to take Jeldi Jeldi over to Parham to do a shop. Over two miles away and not many shops, it was an uncomfortable journey I was glad to have escaped! He managed to get us some essentials but it took some effort going to two or three shops as the supplies were meagre. But we have eggs for breakfast and my home made bread so we are ok!

Celebrity Mansions
Rowan had asked the people in the Cat next to us if they needed anything at the shops, at 4:30pm they turned up with their drink glasses full to introduce themselves. I had just been swimming so was soaking wet and Rowan had finally got the teak oil out for the wood work. All came to a halt as we met our neighbours from Iowa, reassuringly they have about as much sailing experience as us, coming from landlocked Iowa! He actually grew up in Minneapolis where I was an exchange student in 1979.

it wasn’t late before we were tucked up in bed praying the anchor was going to hold for the night.
