Rowan had a very disturbed night as the lack of wind meant the mooring ball kept hitting the hull, which would wake Rowan up as he thought it was someone climbing on board. Thankfully I slept through it all.
We had a very good snorkel in the morning, we went further around Petit Piton and managed to anchor Jeldi Jeldi. We must have snorkelled about half way around the Piton, some areas were just a sheer drop down into the endless blue. The visibility was wonderful and the sun was out so it was perfect conditions.

Wonderful blue sponges
The drop off

We got back to PolePole and discovered the wind was gusting again, it channels down between the Pitons and was getting up to 26 knots. So we decided to move to Malgretout around the other side of Petit Piton, it was a very good move. It was blissfully calm this side, making it much easier to have our family chat with all the kids. It was 9am for Phoebs in Hawaii, 9pm for Han in Botswana, 8pm for Luke in Mettingham and 3pm for us. Quite some coordination, but wonderful to talk to them all for a good long time. Everyone was in great spirits, even Hannah, who between her and Noah had not realised it was Easter week end! Noah went back to the bush camp on Thursday and Han remained in Maun to work at the office. Luckily Han managed to fix up going to friends for the day so it wasn’t too bad for her. Her parcel we sent to her via DHL for her birthday (21 Nov last year) has still not cleared customs. It had a chocolate advent calendar in it, I had hoped she might have managed to have those instead of Easter Eggs, but sadly it’s still held up in African bureaucracy!
The good news is that in our new spot we have seen some turtles, bad news was just as we were settling into the evening an American gin palace arrived with all the toys, jet skis and inflatables. They landed up going close to the only other yacht moored here, who were so offended they ups ticked and left. They obviously had a big dinner party, just as we were heading to bed at about 10pm, we heard them whooping, jumping into the sea and then two got onto jet skies and headed straight out to sea in pitch darkness. The poor crew must have been beside themselves with worry. We felt very sober and responsible heading off to bed, without even a single chocolate!

The area where we were snorkelling. So amazing to have it all to ourselves even on Easter week end.

A gorgeous sunset to end Easter Sunday.

I promise there are no filters on this!
