Rowan’s lesson was at 9am and he was gone for most of the morning. It is a slow learning process but he is chuffed with how he is progressing. He came back absolutely pooped! I got on with some much needed boat cleaning and laundry.
In the late afternoon when is had cooled a bit we went for a lovely walk along the beach as far as we could. There seem to be 3 dwellings here, one belongs to Adrian (the instructor) and his wife and 18 month old daughter, the closed beach bar and then a local who has a collection of pigs roaming around with the cutest piglets. We walked as far as the old ruined house and the graveyards, what a bygone era that must have been. It looks so much more substantial than the other dwellings here, which all seem to be wooden. It was good to stretch our legs on land.
Black noddies fishing in the morning

Rowan looking very slinky in his wetsuit, and good thing he has it on as it gives some protection, he has a lot of bruises on his legs from the foil

He is getting the hang of it
Exhausting!

Our beach walk

Ruins of a house built in 1879

A couple of gravestones too

Surprising how many boats are here
A very cute Crested tern calling to his girlfriend on top of a palm tree

The beach has a pink hue
