Rowan went to pick Grant and Judith up from the resort early as we needed to head to an island about 5 miles away. Grant and Judith are going to complete their Padi diving certification at the resort there, they have done everything except their open water dives. Rowan found the resort for them, also run by Aussies and has been around a while. We could not believe the tiny little island the resort is tucked into, really charming and discreet. We arrived in good time for their lesson at 10am. We wiggled our way through the archipelago of islands to get there. Not another boat around, and certainly we have not heard of many yachts coming here. It is mainly a diving and surfing resort.
Rowan started getting a cold yesterday, which has hit him today so just as well we have a quiet day on board while Grant and Judith are busy. I had plenty of chores to do, slowly in this intense heat.
They did their two dives successfully, we were just enjoying a sundowner when the heavens opened. Judith went downstairs to their cabin and found the water pouring onto the bed, it was torrential rain. We had a bbq when the rain stopped, our burgers made from the Honiara minced beef were surprisingly good. We went to bed and discovered our back window hadn’t been latched properly and our bed was drenched too! What a kerfuffle! Plus I can feel a cold coming on!
