It was the bounciest of nights with the wind picking right up. We certainly were experiencing the result of the storm. Luckily Rowan spoke to a few sailing neighbours in the morning who confirmed it was out of the question to leave the Marina. There is a very tricky narrow cut entrance into our marina and the waves were pounding through it with a strong wind. So we decided to wait here for Clint rather than head back to Georgetown. We walked out onto the promontory to have a look at the cut and the approach through the pounding waves looked extremely hairy – so pleased we did not have to tackle it! In fact it would have been madness, not a single boat left or arrived today.

Clint and family arrived after a good but long journey via Miami. Such fun to see them all in such good spirits, they were impressed with the white sandy beaches and turquoise water. Lots of drinking, eating and laughter. Discovered how crazily expensive it is here.
