We were off at 5:30am after a very humid night, no wind and the mosquitoes out in force. It was wonderful watching the daylight break through the brooding dark clouds. We motored the whole way as there was no wind, wind speed was about 2 knots for a lot of the way. There were a few squalls and downpours along the way.

Leaving Canouan at sunrise

Passing Chatham Bay full of boats

Squally weather

Finally eating Hannah’s homemade sauerkraut, rain pouring outside

Our wifi phone imploded in the sunshine yesterday, luckily it didn’t catch fire!
It was very nostalgic entering St George’s harbour and docking in Port Louis marina. We passed our quarantining anchoring spot where we spent 2 weeks in 2020. The same old boat Mandalay was out there, it hadn’t budged.
We went to the little gazebo to clear through Port Health Authority, such an eloquent man running it, hugely disappointed in his fellow islanders as their vaccination percentage is only 32%. He accepted Rowan’s now very dodgy looking Vaccination certificate, thank goodness.
The Crickmore’s got in about 5:30, what a journey for them with their false start, but they were all in good spirits. The kids Ottilie and Arthur were very cute getting settled into their cabin. We ate at the marina restaurant as they were all exhausted and doing very well staying awake with the 6 hour time difference. The food was surprisingly good, Dulcie and I had delicious slow cooked brisket.
