Another rainy day

I’m not complaining as it means it is cooler, but Rowan is gnashing his teeth at the holiday his solar panels are on!

You know things are slow when a Cruise Liner entering port causes excitement. There are apparently no cases of Covid 19 here, which is a good reason for them being very strict about entry. So it was a little surprising seeing the liner, but in fact it never made it right into port and did not stay long. It left after about an hour with quite a fanfare of blowing it’s horn, an amazing low rumble of a noise. Maybe they were just picking something up, but can’t believe liners are out sailing, as they must be Covid 19 holiday camps.

The thing that I am really grateful for is that we are on a Catamaran. We lie out here in our open cockpit and wonder where all the people in the mono hulls are…..they are like moles living below deck. The other thing is there is quite a swell here, so the mono hulls are rocking like crazy. The masts swing alarmingly far from side to side, the ropes and metal stays clanking, making such a racket. We can’t complain when we have double the space they have and we are incredibly stable in the swell.

We had our usual Sunday evening Norfolk quiz, Phoebs created the questions for our family team, which was good fun. I’m relieved to say we didn’t come last this week! Good fun to see everyone and to catch up with everyone’s lives, some are very slowly heading back in the direction of some sort of normality.

The sunsets just get better and better.
