A normal lockdown day

I’m worried the blogs are going to get a little boring as our daily routine kicks in here.

Out for our morning walk by 7:30 am, we are getting to know so many of the cyclists and other walkers, and we all practice our polite 2m distancing.

Return to Pole Pole for a late cooked breakfast. Do a few little chores, today we had water pump issues. No water was coming through and we thought we had an airlock, so the two of us were down on our bellies trying to suck the water through. It took us a good couple of hours to discover the water gauge was not working and that we had completely run out of water. All that sucking in vain! We got the water maker going, luckily the water here in the marina is very clean, not that it is much of an issue as the water maker has all sorts of incredible filters to get the salt and everything else out. A good thump on the gauge got it working again, so hope we don’t have that problem again. Rowan is discovering that the best DIY skills are to jiggle and thump things with the aid of WD40, it seems to resolve most issues in the end!

The only excitement in the afternoon was our swim in the marina this afternoon, Rowan was blissfully unaware of a turtle head following him (oops and that’s not what a lot of you are thinking!!!).

We had some of our delicious Mahi mahi out the deep freeze for supper which we enjoyed thoroughly.
