We really have offended the wind Gods. None of the 4 weather models predicted today’s lack of wind. Once again we had the engines on during the afternoon. Lots of cloud again today with plenty of rain and squalls. We had Sporty the Code sail up and down most of the day.
We had a fun time with 5 dolphins chasing us and all doing synchronised jumps out the water, which was great fun to watch although they didn’t stay long. There was one very white dolphin which was intriguing. It seemed as if they were tempted to ride the bow wave but thought better of it.
Otherwise another slow day. Seems like all the boats are struggling in the lack of wind, also the wind is changing about so much. Not the dependable Trade winds we have heard so much about. We’ve taken bets on our arrival date and time. Three of us think it will be on my 60th! Luke thinks the 27th and Han the 29th which is the day she is booked to fly back to Botswana.
Finished the day with a few rounds of Shithead (card game) which I was crowned twice rather annoyingly, I blame my awful cards I was dealt!
