Wednesday 28 August – exploring the island

It was another windy night, but very comfortable as there was no swell. Rowan went for a long snorkel, he bashed his way against the waves to snorkel between the islands, sadly it was not that impressive. He continued along the far island, he saw a few turtles and an unusual looking shark!

We went for a walk at high tide so we could easily get onto the island, it was midday and incredibly hot. We couldn’t walk that far along the beach because of the coral and rocks. We started picking up a few plastic bottles, of course once we started we saw more and more, and collected an enormous amount in the end.

The day ended with Rowan having some work calls and the wind howling again.
