We picked up the anchor after breakfast, Rowan was hoping for a gentle sail, we discovered when we rounded the island that the wind had completely died. Sadly this meant we had to motor the whole way back. The marina guys met us when we arrived and showed us a tiny gap between two boats, it was way too optimistic. The place is heaving and they finally said we could go on the end of the pontoon for the mega boats. It was a tricky spot and of course a bit of wind suddenly turned up. Luckily it all went smoothly, with Rowan nailing it, getting loads of praise from the marina guys. It was good to be settled by early afternoon, Rowan had a few boat jobs that were being quoted for, in between a few work calls!
This will be my last entry until the end of September. We fly back to the UK Saturday evening, and will be returning here at the end of the month. Tomorrow will be spent packing up the boat, cleaning and finally getting the laundry done…… so boring, its definitely not worth an entry in the blog!
So looking forward to going home, we hear some good weather will be greeting us. We have loads going on, including Phoebe’s registration of their marriage in London. We are so looking forward to seeing all the family and their partners. Thankfully my ear is back to normal, it is a long journey home via LA.

Leaving our scenic anchorage

The fish ball hiding under the boat, this is the window hatch under the stair case, a bit like an aquarium
