Good to have guests to prompt us to tidy up and put things away! Carol (Rowan’s cousin) and Tim both originally from South Africa but immigrated to New Zealand many years ago. They arrived on the Musket Cove ferry in the afternoon, it was a great reception by the resort with a local band welcoming them with their singing. We also discovered a very well supplied supermarket, which allowed us to stock up on a few essentials. Carol and Tim also came heavily weighed down with provisions, they had picked up bacon, cold meats and avos from the mainland, plus an enormous supply of our favourite NZ chocolate!
We cooled off with a swim off the back of the boat, and headed into the marina bar for supper and drinks which was very jolly ….. a live band and good drinks. A German couple, bumped into us, who had been on the World Arc with us for a little while. We met them somewhere in the San Blas Islands, memorable as he introduced himself as Herman the German.
It was an incredibly still warm night, it was early to bed as our guests had a very early start to the day.
