Nassau

Thought we’d have a relaxing day, but instead opted for a long sail to Nassau to pick up Tom, accompanied by loads of flying fish. Entering Nassau we had a little tussle with one of three enormous Ocean liners! After our captain’s little stand off with the liner, we finally had the sea police onto us, and of course we found the Bahamian accent so difficult to understand that we found it difficult to follow instructions. Hairy late low tide mooring next to party boat, with a big audience, but everyone was very friendly. Picked up Tom our instuctor/helper. Went for a surprisingly delicious dinner at Latitude’s (Japanese/Bahamas cuisine) and had excellent Wholefood’s shopping.
