A sad farewell to Able Sealady – Hannie!

Han left this morning which was very sad to see her go, but she has so many adventures ahead with her new job in Botswana.

The rest of the day was consumed with chores, hours at the Laundromat while the men did all the boat chores, fixing the broken anchor wheel and sorting out a few other issues. We had an oil service booked in for our two big Volvo engines, Rowan could only find one guy, Trinny who would do it, sadly he arrived and clearly was not up to the job. However he redeemed himself by giving us a very good recommendation for supper, the Rusty Anchor, where is friend was chef. His friend gave us a lift as it was a couple of miles out of town. We were amused when we were dropped off at the security gates for a very fancy looking resort. We discovered it was a further mile to walk in this beautifully plush landscaped park. Our hearts sunk as the man on the door said there was no space for us and we should go to the jetty to go to the next restaurant. We were gobsmacked as it looked pretty empty but resigned ourselves, only to find the guy convulsed with laughter, he was just messing with us (most probably because we were rather under dressed and had been warned by security that we were walking in!). Luckily the food was delicious, Trinny’s recommendation came up trumps!
