We were all in need of a quieter day, Rowan’s flu is full on and my thumb got worse. Chat told me to stay out the water and keep my thumb dry, so no swimming for me today. Rowan went snorkelling with Luke and Milly in the morning, he needed a swim to cool off. Phoebs and Dani have loads of work bits and issues to resolve with the AirBnb’ing of their home. I repaired our big snorkel bag and the day flew by in the boiling heat. Everyday we thank our lucky stars we have our awning to give us shade up front. There was another snorkel in the afternoon with everyone except Luke and I. Luke’s hands have got so wrinkly from the water that they are peeling and cracking, poor guy with all his bites too, but he is being a real stoic and not letting it bother him at all. He has researched it and it is a genetic thing that makes him more Neanderthal! The wrinkles give better grip for climbing!?The afternoon snorkel produced more shell collections from the girls which is building up to an impressive pile!
Luke and Milly were on supper rota, they made us a delicious vegetable curry. Luke made the most amazing Naan breads to go with it, they were so fluffy and tasty with Nigella seeds. I do have a very good spice cupboard on board! Rowan was zonked by the end of supper, Dani was speaking to family, so the 4 of us played a lot of Shithead. I was pleased to be the only one not to get the title!
