Saturday 27 December – a day of diving

The dive boat arrived on time at 7am and they all set off for a day of diving. I stayed behind as I don’t dive and did not fancy spending all day in the sun in a long boat. I got loads of chores done and a bit of house keeping, including making yoghurt, bread and making my tonic syrup to make our own tonic water with my soda press. The tonic water here is disgustingly sweet and not that easy to come across.

Everyone had a great dive, with the German homestay who were very proper and had made the kids all do a refresher course yesterday afternoon. It went really well, Rowan and Phoebs called it a day after two dives. Dani, Luke and Milly stayed on and did another great dive in the afternoon, the highlight was seeing a Wobbegong shark! I will let the photos give a taster of what they saw.

We went to the Friwen Homestay for supper, we have been here before, it was very good Indonesian food, with only a couple of other people there. Everyone was exhausted from the diving so early to bed.
