Monday 15 December – moving to the other side of the bay

We moved across the bay before we had breakfast, it was only a couple of miles. The Wadura boat was still anchored where Rowan had wanted to go, so we went further around the island and found a lovely spot. Phoebs and Rowan went for a good long snorkel while I finished tidying a few more things away. With just two of us we have spread out a bit, now both cabins will be used we need to make a bit more space and pack things away. Rowan booked us in for lunch at the resort, we arrived with a few spots of rain, which helped cool things down. The manager was effusively friendly, giving us a very warm welcome. They have 9 very nice looking cabins over the water, all their guest were out on trips over lunch so we had the place to ourselves. They brought out the food for us, an enormous amount, each dish was explained to us by the chef, starting with a delicious coconut soup. It really was a notch up from the other Homestays, it calls itself Katembe, a private island resort. We were half way though lunch when a guest appeared to join us, clearly they had not expected him, at least there was plenty of food for him. Danish Jonny, turned out he was doing a refresher diving course before joining the Danish couple on Wadura. He is a Tug boat driver back in Denmark, like the Aussie guy on Lioness.

We returned to the boat in a bit of a food coma, we put our feet up and digested the Sunday papers.
