Holidays are over and it is all action. Rowan was back in the Sail Loft, painting his sail. It is only when you have to unravel these sails that you appreciate just how large they are.

I got on the 1pm bus to the shops in Colon, I had signed up late and wondered if they would have space, but I managed to squeeze on. All these yachties off shopping as it is the penultimate bus trip before everything closes for Christmas. The marina bus runs twice a day, at 8am and 1pm, it takes half an hour to get there and return pick up is 3pm. So not long, I was just doing a supermarket shop to tied us over Christmas and managed to get the essentials for Rowan, nuts and charcoal! Quite interesting how out of the way the marina is, it is still part of a military/navy base, there is a check point to get in. There are loads of derelict and abandoned buildings, I guess it was a much bigger base when the Americans were here.
We were delayed coming back, as a bunch of Americans weren’t there in time for pick up, so we had to turn around and get them. So rude, one lady held us up even though by then she was half an hour late, no apologies, just whinging.

Returned to the boat and Rowan was in full force applying some protective coat on the gel coat, had to do it in the afternoon shade, my job was to buff once the stuff was tacky. Very good for my bingo wings!
