We woke up surprised to see two enormous cruise liners docked, we reckon a good couple of thousand people on each boat! They seem to arrive very early in the morning, around 5am. We can feel the rocking from their wake. We headed off to the island of Klein Bonaire in JeldiJeldi, to the lovely long white beach with a picnic. We had a few full water taxis pass us on the way, which should have warned us, as we found the beach heaving with people. Luckily we could go to the far end of the beach which would be too far for an American to walk!
We had a couple of great snorkels again, with the same healthy vibrant coral. We saw some big squid, seemingly swimming in a formation, which was interesting and some very big spotted fish we have not seen before.
It was boiling hot sitting there on the exposed beach, Stella cleverly built herself a little twig shelter. We gobbled down our picnic and did not hang about too long.
We had a chilled afternoon back on the boat and rounded off the day having a chicken bbq and a few bottles of wine!
