Upsettingly for Rowan, not a single charge for the solar today. It is the first day we have not seen the sun all day, until it popped out right at the end of the day to grace us with another magnificent sunset.
Lazy Sunday start to the days with our wifi coping with lots of happy calls to the kids, all seem to be having a good time in their separate countries. Hannah is thrilled with her new 4×4 vehicle she has purchased, making life in Maun much easier, this is the town where her office is based when she is not in the bush camp. Phoebs is on a remote island in Hawaii, and says it is like living in a time warp. Their airbnb is 40 mins from the nearest shop, but they have befriended their neighbours, 70 year old Alaskan fishing couples who escape their winter every year by going to this island. Luke is working very hard and getting very excited about his new home in Putney, they exchanged last Monday and should be in by the end of the month.
Rowan wanted to take me to the gap between the two reefs where he has seen all the nurse sharks. Not ideal snorkelling conditions in the cloud and rain, but we are heading off tomorrow so it was our last chance. It is quite deep and has lovely towers of huge big bits of coral. We finally did a drift dive holding onto the boat which I really enjoyed in the end, a great bit of security if you see a shark you don’t like the look of! Thankfully no sharks today, just a big ray, an enormous lobster and loads of fish.

Heading out for our snorkel in the dinghy.
