It is a much nicer day, not too many grey clouds and loads of hot sunshine! We went for a snorkel on the reef, first area was a little disappointing, lots of bleaching, it must have been magnificent in the past. We moved further along and found some coral more alive with lovely pockets of fan and feathery coral. Quite a lot of fish, nothing too big, but at least we did see quite a few live conch, which I was very happy about.
Back on board I caught up with a lot of laundry, happy to have clean sheets and towels again. Rowan was on the phone making sure all the various workman are definitely going to be at the boat at 2pm Monday back at Catamaran Marina in Falmouth harbour. This includes a leather man to patch up the the indoor swivel chair and a guy to reapply gel to our damaged dagger board. There must be 4 or 5 different workmen arranged, fingers crossed it all goes to plan.
In the afternoon we had a good walk along the magnificent beach, loads of gnarly old trees and unspoilt beach.

Good beach walk, we’ve mastered leaving JeldiJeldi out in the water so we don’t have to lug her up the beach

Gorgeous beach sand, PolePole and Viridian (Greg & Jan’s boat)
Jan, Greg and Miranda arrived in the afternoon, they asked us to join them and friends at Uncle Roddy’s but we couldn’t face two nights, my stomach had been a little iffy. We invited them on board for drinks before they went to dinner. Greg and Miranda had been flying Greg’s drone from the beach and took some lovely footage of us. Greg is a very capable, cautious operator, unlike Rowan he only flies his drone from land and not a moving boat!
