A good place for a big clean

We decided to have a bit of a clean up as poor PolePole was looking pretty grubby. After a good breakfast at the cafe, we visited the bakery and the supermarket which were both very impressive. The rest of the morning Rowan and I spent cleaning, while Phoebs found an airconditioned room with a desk to work at. It is bliss having oodles of water to do a bit of pressure washing of the floors. Feeling very hot, sweaty and virtuous we went and spent the afternoon at the beach. Sadly the beach bar was closed, not surprising without anybody about, but we enjoyed its little pool to the full and all to ourselves. Rowan and I went for a late walk along the beach and out to the light house. The sky and sunset were magnificent. We were interested to see 5 yachts now anchored outside. I suppose the marina must be grateful that they use the restaurants and shops. We walked back on the marina side and I was impressed to see I had clocked up 6.5 kms. We all decided that all we wanted for supper was a big salad followed by our delicious fruit salads we have been making with the abundance of Pawpaw, passion fruit and mangoes with a squeeze of rough lime.

I can’t get enough of the colour of the water

A 2 km walk back to the PolePole from here…….Nearly full moon

Another great spot to relax

The long empty marina

Dramatic skies and reflections on the water.
