A slow morning catching up on chores and getting a few things sorted for our departure. Now that Rowan has decided we are leaving the boat right here where we are, he has found someone to do the gardiennage (babysitting of PolePole), we have quite a bit to get sorted. I went to the Air France office and tried to change our tickets to next week, but I had no luck.
We have befriended Patrice the French guy in the boat behind us, his wife arrived on the week end and I noticed his wife leaving with two enormous suitcases this morning. When I saw Patrice I jokingly asked if his wife was leaving already! Turns out she is in 'Fashion' and has a pop up shop. He gave me an invitation to her shop and asked me to share it with the other ladies. In the afternoon I went with Jan and Oana to visit her, upstairs in a hairdressers. No chance of passing trade but I guess it is aiming at the hairdressing clientele. Oana was clearly not impressed, she watches every penny obsessively, Glen says he can't even buy her a birthday present. She said she just liked to be honest and that nothing much was flattering. Jan and I tried plenty on, I felt rather compelled to but something, and got two tops I really liked. So at least it wasn't too awkward. We pootled around the town market afterwards and found a cheap place for Oana to get her pearls drilled, Jan found a very colourful dress so it was a fruitful expedition. Amazingly there were rails and rails of the colourful dresses, all made in Italy!
Early night on the boat with a day off drinking!
The monohulls behind us rocking when the ferry goes by! Patrice's boat behind us
Sunset from the back of the boat. We really have a gorgeous view over to the island Moorea
