We had to get the main sail down this morning so that it can be prepared. It is quite an effort, the batons are enormous and incredibly heavy. Luckily Glen offered to help before they depart today, Greg and Patrice were also enlisted. With the help of the winch we got it onto the pontoon and then to the vehicle. Our Parasail (Ginger Spice) also had to go plus the Genaker (Sporty Spice). All needed attention, so it was good to have those gone.

We said goodbye to Glen and Oana, I think they would have stayed given any excuse, it's the happiest Oana has been since Panama apparently. I did a bit of boat cleaning and scrubbing the teak floor which was filthy.
In the afternoon Jan and I went into town, browsing, but also to look at a shop where she had bought a lovely dress. Sadly the style didn't suit me at all, and Jan managed to find some great florally trousers too.
We needed an early night in, we tried to watch a movie with Bill Nigh called Living, but it was way too slow to keep us awake and we were soon both asleep out on the cockpit bed at 8:30pm!
Rowan managed to change our flights home so we leave on Wednesday (14th) a week early. We are in the marina until then so I think I will do one catch up blog on Tuesday, as it is going to be pretty boring the next few days, tidying, cleaning and making the boat cockroach and rat free!
The happy news that the boat Salt finally caught their rat! Yikes it has taken 5 weeks, travelling all the way from Tahiti to Tonga, stopping at Bora Bora, and Niue along the way!
He must have died a happy rat. I hope all goes well on your journey home.
